Plastered T shirts now in Shanghai

Plastered specializes in taking iconic images from around China and plastering them on T-shirts with playful and colorful affect. They are a Beijing street brand which took off in Beijing four years ago and is now quite a famous brand in Beijing and throughout China. 

They recently opened a store in Tai Kang Road, Shanghai. do check them out if you are interested in retro stuff.

Something Random - Blossom Buddies

These are my favorite convenient drinks in Shanghai.

Yes. I know they are Japanese brand but they cost like many times more in other countries and quite hard to find anywhere else. Thank goodness for licensed in country production.

If you are into milk tea, you can buy the imported versions which costs 3 to 4 times more. I bought it and find they taste the same as non imported ones.

Red tea or milk tea? Red for me.

  

Fabric & Tailor Market in Shanghai III

After two very "successful excursions" to the Fabric Market having lots of business shirts done. I decided to go back again, this time, for some pants and a suit. Not too long ago, I recommended three visitors to Shanghai try the Fabric Market instead of MaoMing Road. The female visitors, had a blast there of course, spending the whole day bargaining, getting suits, cashmere coats and others tailored for a fraction of what they would have spent in MaoMing Road.

Not wanting to any necessary risk, I opted for familiarity and decided to patronise the same tailor I visited before. On reaching his stall, he remembered me immediately (I think because I tailored so many shirts the last time round).

We immediately got to business and I of course, pressed him for a good discount. He looked around making sure no other customers around before typing the best price he can give on his calculator.

I felt the price was reasonable given the quality of his work. We agreed on the price. RMB520 for a business suit, 250RM for an additional pair of pants.

I collected the suit 3 days later. The workmanship and attention to details is as good as those much more expensive ones I made before.

Another successful raid at the Fabric Market. Next target...maybe a cashmere coat!
