I have been to many countries in Asia. But interestingly Korea is one country I have not been to yet. At the constant insistence of my former colleagues, I made an impromptu trip. Without much planning, I booked the tickets, got the recommendations of my friends on where I should stay and off I went.
My friend recommended Hilton Hotel Milliennium in Seoul which is very centrally located and offers a good view of the city. You can get to main attractions from this hotel if you intend to go about by taxi. Though centrally located, this hotel sits atop a small hill. If you need or want to explore the city by foot or train, you would need to undertake the ardous task of a small expedition daily, up and down a hill.
I got there from a direct bus from Incheon Airport which takes about 45 mins. The bus fare was about US$6.
