According to Cushman & Wakefield, a global real estate services company, Beijing has overtook New York in office rents. The report was released this month.
Thes are the top 6 countries in terms of having the most expensive office rentals:
1) Hong Kong
2) London
3) Tokyo
4) Moscow
5)Beijing
6) New York

Beijing’s office spaces are more expensive than New York’s, according to 2012 rankings released by Cushman & Wakefield.The global real estate company said office rents in Beijing rose 75% last year as China’s rapid economic growth sparked strong demand.

I live about 4 hours from NYC and commercial rentals are very expensive. I lnow a single room apartment in NYC can go for 2-4k a month depending on location.
How is the real estate market in Shangai? It's tough here in America because of new homes. Many home owners want to sell there homes but buyers can build a new home cheaper.
