If you are looking for an advertising or design company in Shanghai with quality work at a reasonable cost, I can recommend to you this company ran by my friend, Renee and her business partner, Lisa.
Their company, Zen Advertising, is located in Creative Park, Tian Lin Road, not far from Xu Jia Hui.
A bit of background about them:
Renee and Lisa were both friend in Uni majoring in Design. During the course of their studies, instead of partying hard, they two who are dormitories mates, took on freelance design work in their spare time. Their clients were so happy with their work that they suggested strongly for the duo to set up their own company after they graduate. They kept the advice in mind but went to to join the corporate world.
After a few years of working for others, they regained contact with each other and discussed about establishing their own company. An investor was brought in and their company was set up sooner than they can say "advertising!".
Within a few short years they grew the headcount from one or two to a much bigger team with the resources to support bigger clients.
Unlike some business owners in China that bought for themselves Mercedes SLKs and BMWs once the company made money in the first few years, leaving their staff to work in stale environments and longer working hours, this pair did exactly the opposite. Their company reinvested the profits back to staff welfare, moving to a bigger office, buying better machines, more headcount to reduce workloads and a library of good design books to keep the creative minds of their designers flowing.
Incidentally, they found this new office space while taking an evening stroll thinking about where their new office should be. If you are looking for office space you can looking there too. The last time I visited, I saw vacancy still.
You can view some of their portfolio on the hyperlink above.
I visited their office and took some pictures:
Entrepreneurs like these are hard to come by. Do lend them your support!
Oh, there is a rabbit in their office too who also doubled up as their company mascot :)

I thought it would be a good idea to share what camera gear I use. I use a Canon EOS500D with EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM zoom lens and EF 50mm f/1.8II.
