While rummaging through my pile of unread books, I came across a copy of the 2008/09 Miele Guide. The Miele Guide was launched in 2008 in order to celebrate Asia’s best chefs and restaurants.
I took a quick flip and looked for the Shanghai section. Minus away the non Shanghaiese food and hotel based restaurants, only 2 restaurants made the list:
Art Salon (Wu Li Xiang)
164 Nanchang Road runs just north of Fuxing Road and south of Huaihai Road
FU1088
375 Zhenning Road, near Yuyuan Road
I have not been to above two restaurants before. If you are looking for dinner ideas this weekend, you can try them out. They must be really good to make it to the list.

I thought it would be a good idea to share what camera gear I use. I use a Canon EOS500D with EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM zoom lens and EF 50mm f/1.8II.

I've been to FU1088 one or two years ago and wasn't very impressed. Sure, the building was very nice, but food and service were rather standard. It was far too expensive for what it offered.
