Number of Internet Users in China
220 milion.
Thats the number of Chinese who were using the internet as of February this year. For the first time, China's total surpassed the US' which in 2007 was 216 million. And that figure of 220 million is just 17% of their population compared to 71% of US.
Exciting times and opportunities ahead for those involved in internet marketing, B2C and B2B commerce.
And very soon in less than 20 years,there would be more English speakers in China than any other countries in the world ! Ironic isnt it?
I thought it would be a good idea to share what camera gear I use. I shoot (sometimes) with a Canon EOS350D with standard EF-S 18-55 mm f/3.5-5.6 II lens. 
Having lived and taught in China, I would say the number of actual English speakers in China will never get very high. Sure they spit out numbers of people who have studied English in middle school or college but very few of these people actually speak English.
