I know there has been some form of blog regulation / censorship in China. I never took it seriously till it affected me today.
I have a friend who had recently relocated from Singapore to Dalian. Prior her departure, she informed all her friends that she had applied for a blog spot account and she would be updating details of her "new life" on the blog.
Well, she arrived and I tried checking out the site. No matter how I tried, I cant get onto the site or any other blog spot or Word press account.
I guess she must be bemused too.

I thought it would be a good idea to share what camera gear I use. I use a Canon EOS500D with EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM zoom lens.

Umm it's almost always blocked. Sometimes it gets unblocked but mostly it's stayed blocked :( YOu need to use a proxy to view Blogspot (and Wordpress and Livejournal) blogs, and also Wikipedia. You're not in China?

Yes, China definitely censors things like blogs. I have several friends there, and we've experienced the same problem. Really a shame...

just tell your friend to use some kind of vpn or proxy. works like a charm. I can recommend witopia.net or relakks.com
