I am not paid to advertise for them, but I really enjoy their service - Green Massage where I get my regular Shiatsu treatment.
The politeness of their staff impressed me most - once you walk into Green Massage, you forget that you are in China.
They are perfectly professional - every detail is appreciable - the smile, the bow, the gentle enquiry, the eye contact, the attire etc.
One masseuse told me that she had worked for other massage services before, but since she joined Green Massage, she feels that her personal manners has improved a lot by working with polite and caring colleagues and she feels happy and fulfilled even though the days are busier than before.
Their fees are very reasonable. If you become their member, you will enjoy a further 15-20% discount. As a member, a 45-minute (standard) Shiatsu costs me RMB83.30.
Green Massage address is: 58 TaiCang Road, Luwan District, near Xintiandi
Tel: 86-21-53860222
If you happen to live near Xintiandi, Green Massage has to be the "must" place to get your massage.

I thought it would be a good idea to share what camera gear I use. I use a Canon EOS500D with EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM zoom lens and EF 50mm f/1.8II.

I am in shanghai to start Corporate Suites by the Week. We intend to lease new 2-bedroom apartments, furnish them with high quality decor and kitchen ware and sub-lease by the week for about $500 to $800US. Seeking English speaking manager that knows the Shanghai area and willing to learn business from the bottom up.

When I used to live in Shanghai, Green Massage was my favorite spot for the most relaxing full body massages. I would leave the spa feeling like my body was made of jelly and my mind was completely relaxed. Since then, I have forgotten most of the details of my time there except for Green Massage.

I agree with the post that this is a great place to go to... at least in the past. They've now changed their ways and are a rip off. They've lost touch with their long time customers (such as myself) by jacking up their prices by more than 30%, and most of their experienced staffs have already left, leaving us with somewhat of a lackluster experience. I unfortunately renewed my membership card by paying a large deposit in order to get a discount to only find out now they 1.)do not honor the previous prices, 2.) have less experienced staff that don't know how to find the pressure points. They have cheated me out of 3,000 CNY, so others beware! There are much better options in Shanghai for far less $$!! However, if you like paying more money for much less service and satisfaction, this isn't a bad place to go.
