This morning the Shanghai visability from the apartment window was really bad, couldn't see either Jinmao tower or Oriental Pearl Tower.
However, the main perpetrator was fog this morning and not all smog.
This is what it looks like on a clear day.

Yep, Shanghai suffers from some pretty serious pollution. Thats a combination of the factories nearby, the burning of coal for electricity and the constant increase in cars.
But on this occasion it was mostly fog, not smog.
