I read a great story today in the Shanghai Daily and the China Daily.
It was a story of community involvement, the love of parents and a dying girls greatest wish coming true.
8 year old Xinyue from Jilin province has gone blind due to the brain cancer that is slowly killing her. This 8 year old girls greatest joy is participating in the raising of the national flag at her school. Her dream has been to attend the national flag raising ceremony in Tian'anmen Square.
Because she was unfit to travel the 1,000 odd kms to Beijing, her mother, with the help of 2,000 other people, staged an elaborate hoax to give young Xinyue the greatest experience of her short life.
Great story - read it here.
It reminds me of something the Starlight Foundation might do to grant the wishes of a sick child. Maybe Xinyue's mum could be the start of the Starlight Foundation in China!

They all do great work, support them where & when you can.

I thought it would be a good idea to share what camera gear I use. I use a Canon EOS500D with EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM zoom lens and EF 50mm f/1.8II.
